HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS

1. Handle with Care
Handle your extensions gently to prevent shedding and breakage. Use a wide-tooth comb, soft-bristle paddle brush, or detangling brush. Always start at the ends and work your way up, treating them with the same care as your natural hair.
2. Wash Before Installation
Always wash your extensions before installing them. For best results, use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, and choose moisturizing, hydrating formulas to keep the hair soft and manageable. We recommend high-quality products like TRESemmé Rich Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner for optimal results.
3. Apply Heat Protectant
Apply a heat protectant before using flat irons or curling wands to prevent damage and extend the life of your extensions.
4. Deep Condition
Deep condition every 1–2 weeks to keep your extensions soft and hydrated (weekly if you heat-style often). Avoid heavy products to prevent buildup.
Apply a moisturizing, sulfate-free conditioner to damp extensions, leave on for 15–20 minutes, rinse with cool water, and air dry. Avoid frequent heat; use low or cool settings if needed.
5. Trim the Ends Regularly
Split ends can occur over time, even with proper care. Trim the ends every 6–10 weeks to keep your extensions looking fresh. Use salon-quality scissors or visit a professional stylist.
6. Maintain Curly and Wavy Textures
To maintain defined, frizz-free curls and waves, apply a curl mousse or defining cream to wet hair. For daily upkeep, lightly mist with water and reapply a small amount of product to refresh and redefine.
7. Nighttime Routine
Use a satin scarf, bonnet, or silk pillowcase to reduce friction and retain moisture. This helps prevent tangling and keeps your extensions soft and manageable longer.
